Missed Ninjasonik on their tour through SF, but heard that they murdered it in the Bay and LA (c y'all in NY). However, I also heard (& saw) some surprising news from the cuddies @ the One Love party last night that the homie Rev Mcfly (of Ninjasonik) fucking DDT'd Diplo in LA!!!!%$#@* (Still LMAO!). After hearing the podcast that Mayer Hawthorne recently did for Stones Throw and watching the video for "Just Ain't Gonna Work Out" that Simone sent me today, I can definitely say that I am sold. The multi-talented singer/producer/musician is so amazing that Peanut Butter Wolf thought he was listening to a re-edit of an old soul track when he was played Mayor Hawthorne's demo! I mean this white, 29 year old Ann Arbor native must have really listened to a lot of motown records to be able to create music that sounds like Rafael Saadiq and J Dilla had musical babies.
