5 Questions for A-trak

About a month ago, we stopped by the Fool's Gold SF leg to interview A-trak. We waited around for about 30 minutes with the promoter telling us A-trak would be arriving no later than 8. A look at our watches showed it already was 8, so we decided to leave and grab a drink at the bar around the corner. When we arrived back 15 minutes later, the whole crew (sans Steve Aoki) was there, looking crankier than a group of premenstrual bitches. A-trak was off, sitting in the corner side-kicking away, and the shaggy haired, hipster tour manager was storming around in his high top dunks. Already able to feel the tension in the room, we weren't that surprised when the promoter sauntered up to us to deliver the bad news that the tour manager was pissed. We were now apparently late and we wouldn't be getting any interview. We hung around for another half hour exchanging glances with Sammy Bananas, Sinden, A-trak and the tour manager, in hopes someone would change their mind, but with no luck. Since we think the interview would have been pretty hot, we've decided to share 5 of the questions we would have asked if the tour manager's pussy wasn't bleeding all over 103 Harriet.

1) How do you feel about some people crediting you with the success of broadening the appeal of the French house and electro i.e. Dirty South Dance and Kanye's Graduation?
[This was our dick sucking question to provide A-trak with the sense that we really thought he had done something spectacular within the music scene.]

2) What is in store for Fool's Gold in 2008?
[We welcomed him to share his PR and business goals for his label.]

3) The party rap/electro scene between Philly, Chicago and NY seems pretty incestuous. Have you dated any of those female rappers?
[His relationship with Kid Sister has since been confirmed by a magazine interview.]

4) What's up with your stunner obsession? Do you have a monster eye? Sensitive pupils?
[Oddly enough, he was NOT wearing any sunglasses when he arrived and proceeded to be sunglass-less for the entire party... Whoa!]

5) What do you think of this?
[We thought it would be a good time to high jack the interview and share our distaste for Steve Aoki. We planned on handing him a crumpled image of Steve and Lindsay Lohan djing together. The actual image that now resides on our fridge, was ripped out of an XLR8R and said "IZ IN YR INTERNETZ STEALINZ YR SOUL".]

Overall, the party was a disappointment. The show kicked off strong with Sammy Bananas dropping some heat. Sinden absolutely killed it. The party seemed promising, but fell apart when Steve Aoki brought his charred, LA style of electro/rock mash-up to the decks. His set was blown by his poor trax selection, over use of Serato effects and his zealous headbanging and arm chopping dance moves. The show became absolute garbage from here on out. Fool's Gold gets an extra thumbs down because we got ejected from the last tour for having a party in the women's bathroom. WOOWOO!

Sammy Bananas is playing at BLOW UP next week. We'll be there and you should too.
